Leather, piezo elements, OpenFrameworks application

Costumes for Cyborgs_sound increases the performative articulation of the wearer's movement, allowing new forms of sound to be produced with the body through biofeedback. Piezoelectric elements pick up the physical vibration of the wearer's movement through the leather which holds it to their body. This data is mapped to frequencies which then, slide and shift with each movement, from nervous fidget to grand dramatic gesture. This external expression of the wearer's movement, allows new forms of sound to be produced with the body.
